Daylight is provided by two high output T5 Power Compact Daylight Plus lamps which bring out all the colours of the aquarium inhabitants and provide the optimum level and spectrum of light for your plants and corals to grow and thrive. When the lights go down at night, enjoy watching the “after dark” world of your aquarium come to life under the separately switched moonlight blue LED lighting.
Keeping your vision clear

Behind the scenes Ultra Clear Filtration not only supplies an essential life support role but ensures that the aquarium remains crystal clear.

The high capacity built in back filter system is designed to allow comprehensive 3 stage filtration and reduce filter maintenance.

The first stage is removal of water clouding suspended particles. The water leaves the aquarium through a multi level intake system and enters a settlement chamber where the largest particles settle out. It then passes through Filter balls that remove the majority of suspended material without blocking and reducing water flow. Smaller particles are then removed by open cell foam before the water is given a final polish through the fine filter pad.

The second stage is the biological removal of the toxic fish waste which occurs in the high surface area ceramic Biomedia. This media is the ideal home for essential waste consuming bacteria which act like a “mini sewage treatment plant”.

The third and final stage is carried out by Carbon chemical filter bags which remove the remaining organic particles and toxic metals ensuring the water leaves the filter crystal clear and healthy.
Reliable life support
Other essential life support functions are also housed in the filter area. Tropical central heating is supplied by the reliable Interpet Deltatherm heater. Whilst oxygenation is provided by the high flow circulation pumps which turnover the aquarium volume up to ten times an hour – the pumps are adjustable allowing you to match the exact requirements of your chosen aquarium inhabitants.

A healthy marine aquarium requires the aquarist to provide an environment that contains a mix of minerals and salts that matches those found in natural sea water. AquaSalt has been carefully blended to provide an excellent combination of minerals, salts and trace elements requried to provide your marine aquarium with water conditions as close to natural seawater as possible to maintain the health of fish and invertebrates.

Special care is taken during the manufacturing to ensure the highest quality raw materials and processes are used. This strict quality control guarantees pollutants like phosphates and nitrates are not introduced to you aquarium in harmful qualities during a water change. For many fish species, particularly in Marine set ups, it is vitally important to provide a constant temperature. In the summer when the water is heated through excessive sunlight or even in the winter when the house is artificially heated the water in the aquarium needs to be cooled and during colder periods in the house it might have to be heated to reach optimum temperature. The Aqua One Artic does just that. You set it to the required temperature and it will maintain that temperature at all times.

The Arctic range of chillers are amongst the easiest units to use on the market. They minimise temperature variations to within 0.5°C.

Both inlet and outlet connectors are 19mm and multi directional.

The Aqua One Aquastyle 510 Aquarium is the epitome of design style, with curved glass to the front corners which has proved to be an extremely popular feature with owners around the world. Only the highest quality floated glass is used for maximum clarity and strength, and seamless viewing is achieved by the curved corners at the front of the tank. However, the main attraction of the Aqua One Aquastyle 510 Aquarium is the wet and dry filter system built into the hood, which provides excellent biological, mechanical and chemical filtration and reduces the technical equipment in the tank. This system is biologically far more capable than the internal filters normally found on small to medium sized aquaria, due to the higher oxygen intake capabilities of an open system compared to those belonging to a submerged system. Red Sea has launched a new larger version of its popular Red Sea Max aquarium at this year\'s Interzoo.

Like its smaller sibling, the new Red Sea Max 250 has all of its appliances controlled through a side panel and runs from a single plug. All of the pumps are individually switched and lighting can be controlled via a digital timer built into the hood.

Red Sea describe the aquarium as:

\"This is a 250 litre, full reef-spec, plug-and-play aquarium. A single cord coming out of the back; the lighting is powered by six 39W T5 lights and some LEDs. This is giving you reef-spec 1W per litre lighting and is giving you about 240W of lighting.\"

“In terms of circulation, we understand that you should be circulating for an SPS aquarium at least 10 times an hour. We\'re nearly at 15 times an hour here, and that\'s powered by twin circulation pumps. One producing 1200 lph and one producing 2400 lph.\"
